Stabal Carrog

Stabal or `Stables’, the largest of the cottages formerly housed the farm’s working horses at the beginning of the twentieth century.

A spacious cottage filled with original features, Stabal sleeps eight in four bedrooms and can be booked with the other two for a group of up to 18 people. A cot and highchair are available.

Please note that Stabal is built against the slope and therefore has a few steps from room to room making it unsuitable for people with limited mobility.

Underfloor heating keeps the ground floor warm with radiators upstairs. All your towels are provided free of charge and all beds are made up for you with extra blankets and throws provided.

Free wifi access throughout but please note that due to the rural nature of the area, signal can sometimes be intermittent.

Short breaks are available at certain times of the year. Up to two well behaved dogs accepted at 25 per dog per stay - rules apply.

Ground Floor
A beautiful character oak kitchen with high ceiling and exposed stone walls provides you with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. A large farmhouse pine table seats eight comfortably. Tea towels, dishcloth, oven gloves etc are provided.

A separate living room has leather settees for you to enjoy the large flat screen TV, DVD player and Nintendo Wii.

A selection of DVD’s, Wii games, books, games and toys keep the whole family entertained on a rainy day!

A large fully tiled bathroom has a freestanding bath, wet room shower and heated towel rail.

The roomy double bedroom, originally the cart-house, has two sets of patio doors leading to its own patio area with table and benches, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee! A coffee table, comfortable seats and wall mounted LCD TV provides you with your own sitting area away from the rest of the family!!

First Floor
Another double bedroom with beautiful pine sleigh bed was originally the servants’ quarters. Enjoy the beautiful countryside view with the sea in the distance. You can see the Wicklow mountains on a very clear day. A hair-dryer is provided in both double rooms.

A fully-tiled shower room with toilet and sink.

A garret room or `croglofft’ in Welsh with four single beds may be used as a family room or divided into two twin rooms by closing an interconnecting door. Originally where the barley was stored, this cosy area is ideal for children.

There are outside sitting areas at the front and back of the property and a large communal garden with garden furniture. Each cottage has its' own gas BBQ with utensils. There is ample parking space with extra space for boats/trailers if needed.

A small washroom on site provides washing machine and tumble dryer for the use of all three properties. Washing powder and fabric conditioner provided free of charge and there are no coin meters.
